A little ranch where gardens, animals, and imagination meet.
We gather on a private family ranch in Olivenhain, Encinitas, California, surrounded by a nature preserve, horses on both sides, and room for gardens galore. Because this is also a family home, we lovingly keep the exact address private until an application is approved.

We shape pots, tiles, and little figures from clay with our own hands.

We card, felt, finger knit, and discover colors made from garden plants.
Watercolor & Drawing
We paint with watercolors, draw with beeswax crayons, and keep nature journals.
Woodwork & Building
We learn to use real tools and wood slowly, safely, and with care.
Practical Life
We pour, sweep, bake, mend, and share in the practical work of caring for our space.
Plant Nursery
We sow seeds, tend new growth, and delight in sharing seedlings from the gate.
Outside
Outside, there is always something waiting
In the plant nursery, we sow seeds, fill pots, water tiny starts, and watch patiently for new life to appear. The garden has its own gentle way of teaching us to slow down, notice, and care.
There is a little playground, room to run, shady trees, and plenty of mud when the hose comes out. Horses graze in the neighboring pastures, and we greet them safely over the fence with one of our guides.
We gather around one table for lunch. The children help set it, serve one another, and clear it together—simple moments that help our little community feel like home.
