The daily rhythm

What a day holds

  • 10:00Morning StillnessThe day opens in silence. Breathing, spoken affirmations, and a moment of gratitude. Each child lights a candle for something they are thankful for — anchoring the soul before the day begins. Sacred stories from both Eastern and Western traditions are woven through the morning, planting seeds of wonder and timeless wisdom.
  • 10:20The Living LandMorning in the garden — watering, composting, foraging, or nature journaling. Children learn to read the world through their senses, guided by close observation and wonder.
  • 11:00Main Lesson BlockDeep immersion in one subject for three to four weeks — mathematics through geometry, language through myth, science through direct experience. No textbooks, only living material.
  • 12:00Shared Meal & StoryA communal lunch prepared from the garden, followed by a story read aloud — mythology, biography of great souls, or nature literature chosen for the season.
  • 13:00Handwork & CraftKnitting, woodcarving, watercolor, beeswax modeling. The hands think in their own way — children discover the wisdom that lives in making things.
  • 14:00Closing CircleEach child shares one thing learned, one thing felt, and one thing they will carry home. The day ends as it began — in presence, in gratitude, in community.

Agreements you'll sign

Nothing hidden

Once your application is approved we email a private signing link with these four agreements. You can read them in full ahead of time.

  • Release of Liability & Assumption of Risk

I understand that Rose Enrichment takes place outdoors on a working property in Olivenhain, Encinitas, that includes gardens, a plant nursery, a barn with hand tools and art materials, a playground, uneven ground, plants, insects, and horses kept in adjacent pastures. I understand that these activities carry inherent risks including, without limitation, falls, cuts, scrapes, bites or stings, allergic reactions, contact with soil, plants, animals, and art materials, exposure to sun and weather, and illness. Knowing these risks, I voluntarily enroll my child and assume all such risks, both known and unknown. On behalf of myself, my child, and our heirs and representatives, I release, waive, and discharge Rose Enrichment, its owners, guides, volunteers, and the owners of the property from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of my child's participation, except for claims arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct. I agree that this release is governed by the laws of the State of California.

  • Health, Allergy & Emergency Care Consent

I confirm that I have disclosed my child's allergies, medical conditions, dietary needs, and medications on our application, and I will update Rose Enrichment in writing if anything changes. I authorize Rose Enrichment staff to administer basic first aid, and in the event of an emergency, to seek emergency medical care for my child and to transport my child or arrange transport as needed. I agree to be financially responsible for any medical care my child receives. I will keep my child home when they are ill or contagious.

  • Photography & Media Release

I grant Rose Enrichment permission to photograph or film my child during enrichment days and to use those images in Rose Enrichment's website, printed materials, and social accounts, without compensation. Children's full names will never be published alongside their images. I understand I may decline this section and still participate — simply leave this box unchecked and tell us in person.

  • Family Agreement & Handbook

I agree to bring my child on time and pick up on time, to send appropriate outdoor clothing, boots, a hat, a water bottle, and sunscreen applied before arrival, and to keep the exact property address private out of respect for the family who lives there. I agree to speak with the guides directly and kindly about anything that concerns me. I understand that tuition and drop-in fees are due before attendance, that a day held for my child cannot be refunded for absence, and that Rose Enrichment may end participation if the circle's safety or spirit requires it.
